Mahatma Gandhi was arrested on sedition charges in Bombay by the British government.
Mahatma Gandhi was arrested on 10 March 1922 at Sabarmati Ashram Ahmedabad for writing three articles in his newspaper ‘Young India’. He was sentenced to six years imprisonment. However, he eventually served only two years of that term.
