Marathi Official Language Day – India

Marathi Official Language Day or Marathi Language Day is celebrated in the state of Maharashtra, India on May 1st every year. The state of Maharashtra was formed on 1 May 1960, and since the state of Marathi speakers came into existence, 1 May has been officially celebrated as ‘Marathi Official Language Day’ since 1965.
