Pasarlapudi Blowout: The blowout that occurred in the Pasarlapudi oil rig was brought under control after 65 days by International Well Control (IWC), and ONGC’s Crisis Management Team (CMT).


The Pasarlapudi blowout was an oil rig blowout that took place on 6.50 pm, 8 January 1995 in Pasarlapudi, near Amalapuram in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Brought under control on 15 March 1995 (after 65 days) by International Well Control.
