Salt Satyagraha march led by Mahatma Gandhi started from Sabarmati Ashram.
The Salt Satyagraha was a non-violent satyagraha by the Indian National Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi as part of civil disobedience against the British rule in India. It is also known as Dandi Satyagraham, Dandi Yatra and Dandi March. In defiance of the salt tax, Gandhi marched for a total of 24 days from March 12, 1930 to April 6, 1930, a distance of 384 kilometers, along with thousands of Satyagrahis and made salt at Dandi on the Gujarat coast.
