The Old Parlament Building was inaugurated.
The Old Parliament Building in New Delhi, India, was built between 1921 and 1927 and inaugurated on January 18, 1927 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India. The building was designed by British architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. The third session of the Central Legislative Assembly was held in the building on January 19, 1927.
