Advocates’ Day – India

Advocates’ Day also know as National Advocates’ Day is celebrated on December 3rd each year.

It is to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President and a distinguished lawyer.

The day honours the country’s advocates for their essential role in upholding justice, safeguarding rights, and strengthening the legal system.

Bar councils, legal institutions, and courts commemorate the occasion by reflecting on professional ethics, service to society, and the responsibilities carried by members of the legal fraternity.
