Alexander Graham Bell invented the world’s first working telephone and receiving a patent.
Alexander Graham Bell received US patent number 174,465 for “Improvement in Telegraphy” on March 7, 1876, a patent that is widely considered to be for the telephone, although there was a patent application filed on February 14, 1876. He made the first call to his assistant, Thomas Watson, three days later
