 Amarnath Jha an Indian scholar, educationist, writer, orator. Vice Chancellor of the University of Allahabad. Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University. Vice Chairman of the committee for the project leading to the establishment of the National Defence Academy. Chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission. He was among the first recipients of the civilian honour of Padma Bhushan.
