Bhagat Singh Sandhu a Pakistani Indian freedom fighter, Ideologue, socialist, revolutionary, writer, journalist.

Founder of ‘Naujawan Bharat Sabha’.

A key member and later leader of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA).

He wrote for several newspapers and journals under various pen names, including “Balwant” and “Vidrohi”.

He is chiefly remembered as a revolutionary who avenged the death of Lala Lajpat Rai and became a symbol of resistance against British rule.

He popularized the cry “Inquilab Zindabad” throughout India.

He led a hunger strike in prison demanding better treatment for Indian prisoners.

Along with his associates Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar, he assassinated John P. Saunders, who was mistakenly targeted in place of James A. Scott.
