Birsa Munda an Indian freedom fighter, revolutionary, social reformer, folk hero.

He got the title ‘Dharti Aba’ (Father of the Earth).

He was a thunderbolt in India’s tribal resistance.

A revolutionary from the Munda community, he mobilized Adivasis with an intensity that terrified the British even before he turned twenty-five.

He is the only tribal leader whose portrait is displayed in the Central Hall of the Indian Parliament.
