Chandra Shekhar Azad shot himself in the head with his gun’s last bullet at Alfred Park in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
On 27 February 1931, Chandra Shekhar Azad died at Alfred Park in Allahabad (Now Prayagraj).
On that day, while meeting Sukhdev Raj, he was surrounded by British police and fought bravely until the end.
On running out of ammunition, he shot himself with his last bullet to avoid capture.
On earlier occasions, he had been involved in the Kakori conspiracy and the Saunders assassination.
