Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank were amalgamated into Bank of Baroda.

On 1 April 2019, Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank were officially amalgamated with Bank of Baroda under a Government of India banking consolidation scheme aimed at strengthening the public banking sector.

Following the merger, all branches, employees, assets, services, and operations of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank were integrated into Bank of Baroda, making it one of India’s largest public sector banks.
