Dena Bank was established.
On 26 May 1938, Dena Bank Ltd was established by the Devkaran Nanjee family as the Devkaran Nanjee Banking Company.
In December 1939, it was incorporated as a public limited company and officially renamed Dena Bank Ltd.
In 1969, the Government of India nationalized Dena Bank along with 13 other major commercial banks.
Dena Bank later operated as a government-owned public sector bank headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
On 1 April 2019, Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank were amalgamated into Bank of Baroda, after which all its branches began functioning under Bank of Baroda.
