Dokka Seethamma (Anappindi Seethamma) was an Indian social activist, philanthropist, renowned giver.
She earned the titles Apara Annapoorna, Andhrula Annapurna, and Nirathannadhatri for her extraordinary service.
For over 40 years, she dedicated her life to feeding the poor and travelers.
Edward VII had her portrait inaugurated at the Royal Palace in London—an exceptional recognition—after she humbly declined his invitation to attend his coronation.
The portrait bore the caption: “The most charitable woman of South India.”
