FH Awareness Day

FH Awareness Day (Familial Hypercholesterolemia Awareness Day) is observed every year on September 24th.

Founded In 2012 by the Family Heart Foundation (formerly FH Foundation, U.S.).

It is dedicated to raising global awareness about familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a common genetic condition that causes dangerously high cholesterol levels from birth.

Left undiagnosed or untreated, FH can lead to early heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes—even in young adults or children.
