Glioblastoma Awareness Day

Glioblastoma Awareness Day is observed annually on the third Wednesday of July in the United States, with brain tumor organizations in several other countries also participating through global awareness initiatives.

The observance raises awareness of glioblastoma (GBM), the most common and aggressive malignant brain tumor in adults, while supporting patients, caregivers, and ongoing research.

First observed in 2019 following U.S. Senate Resolution 245, the day promotes early diagnosis, improved treatments, increased research funding, and patient advocacy.

It is marked through awareness campaigns, educational programmes, fundraising events, patient advocacy initiatives, and community outreach.
