Global Forgiveness Day

Global Forgiveness Day is observed annually on 7 July.

The observance was established in 1994 by the Christian Embassy of Christ's Ambassadors (CECA) in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

It later became known as Global Forgiveness Day as its message spread internationally.

The day encourages people to forgive others, seek forgiveness, let go of resentment, promote reconciliation, and foster compassion, peace, emotional well-being, and healthier relationships.

It is marked through reflection, reconciliation initiatives, peace-building activities, educational programmes, counseling sessions, community events, and acts of kindness that promote forgiveness and understanding.
