Goa Revolution Day

Goa Revolution Day, also known as Kranti Din, is celebrated annually on June 18th.

It is to commemorate the start of the mass movement against Portuguese colonial rule in Goa, which began on June 18, 1946.

This pivotal event marked the beginning of a significant phase in Goa’s struggle for liberation, culminating in its freedom from Portuguese rule on December 19, 1961.
