Govind Ballabh Pant

Govind Ballabh Pant an Indian freedom fighter, lawyer, politician. First Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. 2nd Chief Minister of United Provinces. Along with Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Vallabhbhai Patel, Pant was a key figure in the Indian independence movement and later in the Indian government. He played a key role in the unsuccessful movement to establish Hindi as the national language of the Indian Union.
