Dronacharya Award recipient.

Founder of the Guru Hanuman Akhara.

He created a template for modern Indian wrestling style, pehalwani with international wrestling standards.

He coached world-class grapplers, producing 8 Arjuna Award winners.

His disciples included Asian Games gold medalists Satpal Singh and Kartar Singh, while Sudesh Kumar and Prem Nath became Commonwealth Games gold medalists.

Indian industrialist Krishna Kumar Birla gave him land to establish an Akhara, which became the ‘Birla Mills Vyayamshala’ and was later known as the Guru Hanuman Akhara.
