On 14 march 1995, Idea Cellular Limited was founded in the name of Birla Communications Limited. Idea Cellular was an Indian telecommunications company based at Mumbai, Maharashtra. In 2018 Idea Cellular merged with Vodafone India into Vodafone Idea.
