In india ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’ was designated as the national animal
In india 1969 july 9th the Wildlife Board declared ‘lion’ as the national animal of the country. Till 1972, the Lion was the national animal of India. Later Royal Bengal Tiger, ‘majestic creature’ was designated as the national animal on November 18, 1972 and It was conferred the status in April 1st 1973.
