India Constitution Day

India Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day or Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated annually in India on November 26.

This day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949.

The Constitution, however, came into force later on January 26, 1950, marking the day India became a sovereign republic.

On November 19th 2015, Indian government issued a gazette notification declaring that November 26 as the Constitution-Day.
