Indra Lal Roy an Indian fighter pilot, lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps.

First Indian Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC).

Youngest Recipient of the DFC in the British Empire (at the time).

He was the first Indian pilot officially accredited as a flying ace, credited with 10 aerial victories (five destroyed, five out of control) in just 13 days of active combat in July 1918.

First and only Indian to serve as a fighter pilot in World War I for the British Empire.
