International Day of Hope

International Day of Hope is observed annually on 12 July.

The observance promotes hope as a universal value that inspires peace, resilience, inclusion, and human dignity.

It was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly through Resolution A/RES/79/270, adopted on 4 March 2025.

The day encourages governments, organizations, and individuals to foster hope through education, community engagement, dialogue, acts of kindness, and initiatives that strengthen social well-being and sustainable development.
