It celebrates the critical role of air traffic controllers in ensuring safe, efficient, and orderly air travel worldwide.

It commemorates the founding of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) on October 20, 1961, which now represents over 50,000 controllers across more than 130 countries.
