International Mango Day
International Mango Day, also known as National Mango Day, is observed annually on 22 July in India, the United States, and other mango-growing and mango-consuming countries worldwide.
It celebrates the mango, widely known as the "King of Fruits," and promotes its nutritional value, cultural heritage, cultivation, trade, and culinary diversity.
It is widely recognized through agricultural organizations, tourism initiatives, and public celebrations, particularly during the mango season.
One of the world's best-known mango celebrations is the International Mango Festival, first held in 1987 in New Delhi, India.
The festival is organized by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) in collaboration with the National Horticulture Board (NHB), the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), and other horticultural organizations.
