International Men's Day

International Men's Day is celebrated annually on November 19.

It was first observed in 1999 in Trinidad and Tobago, initiated by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh.

The day promotes positive male role models and raises awareness of men’s physical and mental health issues.

It also highlights men’s contributions to family, community, and society while addressing challenges like higher male suicide rates, shorter life expectancy, workplace hazards, and educational gaps.

International Men's Day encourages gender equality by supporting men’s well-being without diminishing the importance of women’s issues.
