International Olympic Day

International Olympic Day is celebrated annually on June 23rd.

It is to commemorate the founding of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894 by Pierre de Coubertin, marking the birth of the modern Olympic Games.

Established in 1948, it promotes sports, health, and the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect through three pillars: Move, Learn, and Discover. These encourage physical activity, education about sports and Olympic values, and trying new sports, regardless of age, gender, or ability.
