International STAND UP to Bullying Day

International STAND UP to Bullying Day is a semi-annual event observed on the last Friday of February and the third Friday of November.

Participants wear and sign pink “pledge shirts” to visibly show their support for bullying victims and take a stand against bullying in a non-confrontational way.

Launched in February 2008, inspired by Nova Scotian students Travis Price and David Shepherd, who organized a “sea of pink shirts” to support a bullied classmate.
