International Students’ Day

International Students’ Day is observed every year on 17 November.

It commemorates the 1939 Nazi attack on the University of Prague, where student protests were brutally suppressed, leaders were executed, and thousands were sent to concentration camps.

Since then, the day has become a global symbol of student activism, the fight for education rights, and the power of youth movements.
