International Women in Engineering Day

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), celebrated annually on June 23rd.

It is a global campaign to recognize the achievements of women in engineering and promote career opportunities for girls in this field.

Initiated in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in the UK to mark its 95th anniversary, it gained UNESCO patronage in 2016 and became international in 2017 due to global interest.
