International Yarn Bombing Day

International Yarn Bombing Day is observed annually on June 11th, and some communities observed on the second Saturday of June.

It’s a global event where people cover public spaces with knitted or crocheted pieces, a form of street art also known as yarn bombing or yarn storming. The day aims to reclaim and beautify public spaces by adding color and meaning to urban environments. It was first observed on 11 June 2011.
