Jana Gana Mana was adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the National Anthem of India.

It was originally composed as “Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata” in Bengali written by Rabindranath Tagore on 11 December 1911.

On 27 December 1911, The song was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress.

Its Hindi version was later adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the National Anthem of India on 24 January 1950.
