Mothers Day

Mother's Day or International Mother's Day is celebrated annually on different dates around the world, with many countries observing it on the second Sunday of May.

It was established in the United States through the efforts of Anna Jarvis and was officially proclaimed a national holiday by Woodrow Wilson in 1914.

The day honors mothers and mother figures for their love, care, sacrifices, and contributions to families and society.

It is celebrated through the giving of flowers, greeting cards, gifts, family gatherings, and expressions of appreciation and gratitude.
