National Cherry Day - UK

National Cherry Day is observed annually on 16 July in the United Kingdom and is also celebrated informally in some other countries, including the United States.

Founded by Henrietta Green in 2008 as part of the CherryAid campaign, the observance was established to help protect and revive Britain's traditional cherry orchards.

The day celebrates British cherries, supports local growers, and is marked through cherry-picking, farm visits, food festivals, farmers' markets, cooking, baking, and orchard events.
