National Technology Day - India

National Technology Day is celebrated anually on May 11th in India.

In India, commemorating the successful Pokhran-II nuclear tests (Operation Shakti) conducted on May 11, 1998, at the Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan. This was India's second set of nuclear tests, following Operation Smiling Buddha in 1974, and it solidified India’s status as a nuclear weapons state.
