A gas leaked and blowout occurred due to a mistake made by ONGC in Sector 19, Pasarlapudi village, Andhra Pradesh in india. This was recorded as the second largest blowout in the world.
The Pasarlapudi blowout was an oil rig (ONGC) blowout that took place on 6.50 pm, 8 January 1995 in Pasarlapudi, near Amalapuram in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. it took ONGC experts and US consultants 45 days to cap the well.
