India’s first full-length feature film Raja Harishchandra premiered.

On 21 April 1913, Raja Harishchandra premiered at the Olympia Theatre in Bombay.

On 3 May 1913, It was theatrically released at the Coronation Cinematograph and Variety Hall in Girgaon.

The film became a commercial success and laid the foundation of the Indian film industry.
