Ramana Maharshi

Ramana Maharshi (Venkataraman Iyer) an Indian Hindu sage, jivanmukta, philosopher.

He spent most of his life at the sacred hill Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, attracting seekers from around the world. He attained self-realization at the age of 16 after a profound experience of ego-death. His primary teaching was self-inquiry, asking “Who am I?” to direct attention inward and discover the unchanging Self.
