Mahindra Satyam was incorporated in Hyderabad, India.

On 24 June 1987, Mahindra Satyam was originally founded as Satyam Computer Services Ltd., in Hyderabad, India, by B. Ramalinga Raju.

The company grew into a major global IT services firm before a large-scale accounting scandal in 2009 led to its acquisition by Tech Mahindra, after which it was rebranded as Mahindra Satyam and later fully merged into Tech Mahindra.

The name “Mahindra Satyam” came later, after Tech Mahindra acquired and rebranded the company.
