Maisaheb,
Savita Ambedkar
Savita Ambedkar (Sharada Krishnarao Kabir) was an Indian physician, writer, accused.
Second wife of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
She converted to Buddhism along with Dr. Ambedkar during the historic 1956 mass conversion ceremony at Deekshabhoomi.
She helped establish the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial in Pune by donating Dr. Ambedkar’s personal belongings and supported the publication of his unreleased manuscripts for future generations.
A government inquiry ordered during the time of Jawaharlal Nehru found no truth in the allegations that Savita Ambedkar was responsible for Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s death and stated that he died a natural death, though suspicions continued among some sections of Dalit society.
