Sukhdev Thapar
Sukhdev Thapar an Indian freedom fighter, revolutionary, patriot.
Member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA).
He worked closely with Bhagat Singh and Shivaram Rajguru.
Sukhdev played a crucial role in planning and organizing the 1928 assassination of British police officer John P. Saunders as an act of revenge for the death of Lala Lajpat Rai.
He was executed along with Bhagat Singh and Shivaram Rajguru on 23 March 1931.
Fearing public outrage, British authorities secretly removed and cremated their bodies near the banks of the Sutlej River.
