Syed Hasan Imam

Syed Hasan Imam an Indian barrister, politician, nationalist, freedom fighter, social reformer.

President of the Indian National Congress. He was a strong proponent of women’s education and social equality. He also encouraged Hindu students to study abroad. He actively participated in major nationalist movements, including the Khilafat Movement, the Civil Disobedience Movement, and the boycott of the Simon Commission. He was the fourth Muslim to become the President of Indian National Congress.
