On 21 July 2015, the Bhim Army, also known as the Bheem Army or Bheem Army Bharat Ekta Mission, was founded in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

It is widely regarded as a revolutionary and assertive an Ambedkarite and Dalit rights organisation in India.

The organisation was established by Chandrashekhar Azad, Vinay Ratan Singh, and Satish Kumar.

It initially began as a literacy mission.

It later evolved into a nationwide movement focused on social justice and direct action.
