Vilayat Khan

Vilayat Khan a Bangla-Indian classical sitar player, Ustad. ‘Bharat Sitar Samrat’ award recipient. He composed many bandishes using the pen name ‘Nath Piya’. He was credited with playing the instrument ‘Gayaki Ang’ on the sitar. He refused the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Sangeet Natak Akademi awards.
