World Bonobo Day

World Bonobo Day is celebrated on February 14 every year. It is to raise awareness and protect the endangered bonobo. Bonobos are our closest living relatives, sharing 98.7% of our DNA. They are known for their peaceful nature and are sometimes called the “hippie apes”.
