World Camel Day

World Camel Day is celebrated annually on June 22th.

It is to honor the remarkable contributions of camels to livelihoods, cultures, and economies, particularly in arid and desert regions.

Founded in 2009 by Dr. Abdul Raziq Kakar, the day highlights camels’ resilience, adaptability, and importance in food security, providing milk, meat, fiber, and transport in harsh environments.
