World Fisheries Day

World Fisheries Day, observed every November 21st.

It is to highlights the vital role of fisheries in global food security and livelihoods.

Established in 1997 by small-scale fishing communities under the World Forum of Fish Harvesters and Fish Workers (WFF).

The day promotes sustainable fisheries, the protection of aquatic ecosystems, and the rights of marginalized groups, including women and indigenous peoples.
