World Letter Writing Day

World Letter Writing Day is observed every year on September 1st.

It was founded in 2014 by Australian author and artist Richard Simpkin, who loved writing and collecting handwritten letters from famous personalities.

He created the day to celebrate the art, history, and personal connection of handwritten letters in an age dominated by emails, texts, and instant messaging.
